Sandesh was left without parental care after his mother died and his father grappled with alcoholism. He joined a street gang to survive where he suffered abuse from older children and took to stealing. After a long struggle, things got better when he met Sunita, a Kidasha outreach worker.
Arun was born in a small village in Nepal and was abandoned by his mother when he was just three months old. One day, when he was 11 years old, he took a bus journey alone and ended up in a city he didn’t recognise: Pokhara. Scared and alone, Arun desperately tried to remember the name of his hometown.
