Team Aston Rose – Rob Cragg, Jon Thorp, Tom Cole and Dom Clarke – successfully completed the Wye 100 Canoe Challenge. The event, which took place over the May Bank Holiday weekend, saw a total of 16 novices paddle eight Canadian canoes along the River Wye for four days in order to cover the 100 miles. Food stops, comfort breaks and sleeping all took place along the banks of the Wye – so, for some, the canoeing wasn’t the only challenge!

Wye?! Well, to raise money for Kidasha, a dynamic and innovative charity working to improve the lives of children living in crisis situations in Nepal – victims of trafficking and abuse, children living in slums on the streets or forced to work as child labourers in exploitative situations. Kidasha supports over 3,000 of these children every year by providing protective shelter numeracy, literacy and life-skills courses; counselling and health education. Visit www.kidasha.org to find out more about the charity’s work.
The Aston Rose team raised over £7,000 by taking on this challenge. HUGE thank you to everyone who took part and donated.
