This week, our brilliant supporter Myke Jacobs completed his epic 1,128 mile charity trek, walking the total distance of London to Rome. Myke began the huge challenge over one year ago in April 2021, and has raised a total of over £16,100!
Over the course of a year, Myke has completed 12,500 laps – over 2.6 million steps – in support of Kidasha. In fact, since 2006, Myke and his wife Ruth have raised a total of over £260,000 for Nepal’s most vulnerable children, through multiple fundraising treks, appeals, and advocacy with charitable foundations.
We’d like to say a very big thank you to everyone who supported Myke on his incredible journey.
I’m absolutely overjoyed that I have been able to complet this trek in support of Kidasha. My local communty, my sponsors, and my wife have all been so supportive of my journey, and I’m proud that I’ve been able to complete this challenge in a little over a year, despite facing several health challenges along they way.
The pandemic has been tough for everyone, but the vulnerable families and children of Nepal have been faced with extreme hardship. I’m glad that our efforts will be able to raise awareness of those living in extreme poverty, and provide support to those that still need it.”

All of the funds raised from Myke’s trek will support Kidasha’s work to improve the lives of the children living in chronic poverty in Nepal. This includes working to end child exploitation by providing homeless children with safe shelter, supporting children into education, and working to create new opportunities and help the most marginalised escape poverty.
