A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our BBC Radio 4 Appeal. Your generosity is transforming lives, giving Nepal’s most vulnerable children the chance to break free from poverty and build a brighter future.
Nepal is a country of breathtaking beauty, home to the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest. Every May, climbers from across the globe set their sights on its’ summit, creating headlines with record-breaking feats – like British mountaineer, Kenton Cool, who very recently scaled Everest for the 19th time, the most summits by a non-Nepali.
But beyond the headlines, there is another reality – one that rarely makes the news. Nepal remains one of the world’s poorest nations, where children grow up in poverty in overcrowded city slums, deprived of education, care, and hope. These are the children we help.
How Your Support Makes a Difference
At Kidasha we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Every child’s situation is unique, and our work is tailored to meet their individual needs. Your donations help us provide:
- Access to education and vocational training
- Counselling and guidance – supporting children through trauma and hardship
- Protective shelter – providing safe spaces for children in extreme circumstances
- Family support – helping families rebuild their lives and create a stable home environment.
Your Impact
Thanks to your donations, we can continue this vital work, ensuring that Nepal’s most vulnerable children receive the protection, education and opportunities they deserve, because every child matters.
Every single donation, big or small, changes lives, and we are so grateful to have you by our side.
If you missed the appeal, you can still make a donation through our website – just click on the ‘Donate’ button shown at the top of this page.
